divination

One of my goals this year is to make something of my tarot "business". I've read for over 22 years, and when I had more time during/after covid I did free and paid readings to gather traction.

The thing is, I hold no social media and I have strong disdain for it, so I do not market or advertise myself in that way. I have a page for rates when inquired about and I am sometimes contacted by past clients but thats about it.

The thing is, much like the prospect of selling jewelry or other materials, I'm not looking to make this a "hustle" nor an empire. I likened it recently in conversation to living in a cave. I enjoy the peace of my cave. I would be reading cards and making things, drawing, etc, regardless. It would be nice though, to make something more of it. To do something with it. It takes too much time and energy to be free, and both those things are very limited. I do and have done hundreds of free readings and advice online, in person, etc.. Same with making items for friends, coworkers, those who just seemed to need something. But overall, I'm looking to facilitate the exchange of goods and services.

I have a million plans, I do, and I'm going to make this work my way. I'm as stubborn as the day is long. But it is something that takes a good bit of thought. There are issues with that side of the internet, and I'm not interested in involving myself in any of them, because I take all this rather seriously as a study, a skill and a calling. That said, the client base (like any other) varies quite wildly in expectation.

Ive been lucky not to have anything too crazy happen, but opening up to a broader audience does come with that risk.

Just free styling thought-wise here, so I'll round this out.
